Onboarding Journey

Your Step-by-Step Onboarding

Follow this guided onboarding journey to set up your affiliate account, understand the tools available, and start earning commissions. Each step includes detailed instructions, practical tips, and action items to complete.

Step 1: Complete Your Profile
The first step after registering as an affiliate is to ensure your profile is complete and accurate. A complete profile helps build trust and ensures smooth payment processing. Here's what you need to do:
  1. Log into your affiliate dashboard using the credentials you created during registration. If you haven't received your approval email yet, please wait for the 24-hour review period.

  2. Verify that your name, email, and phone number are correct. These details are used for communication and account verification. Update any information that may have changed since registration.

  3. Review your payment details in the Payouts section. Make sure your bank account number, IFSC code, and bank name are accurate for bank transfers, or your PayPal email is correct if using PayPal.

  4. Upload a profile picture if the option is available. While optional, having a profile picture adds a personal touch to your affiliate account and can be used in promotional materials.

  5. Set up any notification preferences. We recommend enabling email notifications for new conversions and payout processing updates so you're always informed about your affiliate activity.

Pro Tip

Double-check your IFSC code — incorrect bank details are the #1 reason for failed payouts. You can verify your IFSC code on the RBI website or your bank's official website.

Step 2: Set Up Your Payment Method
Before you can receive payouts, ensure your payment information is properly configured. You can choose between bank transfer and PayPal, and you can update this at any time from your settings.
  1. Navigate to the Payouts page from the sub-navigation to view your current payment details. You'll see your configured bank account or PayPal information displayed on the page.

  2. For bank transfers, you need three pieces of information: your bank's name (e.g., 'State Bank of India'), your account number (usually 11-16 digits), and the IFSC code (11 characters, found on your cheque book or bank's website).

  3. For PayPal, you simply need the email address associated with your PayPal account. Make sure this is the correct email address where you receive PayPal payments.

  4. If you need to change your payment method, contact affiliate support and they will update it for you. Changes take effect for the next payout cycle and do not affect already-requested payouts.

  5. The minimum payout threshold is ₹1,000. You can request a payout from the Commissions page once your approved commission balance meets or exceeds this amount.

Pro Tip

We recommend using bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) if you have an Indian bank account. It's the fastest and most reliable method for receiving your affiliate earnings.

Step 3: Get Your Referral Link
Your referral link is the most important tool in your affiliate arsenal. It's what tracks every visitor you send to Vikray Aquila and attributes their purchase to your account. Here's everything you need to know about using it effectively.
  1. Your referral link is prominently displayed on your affiliate dashboard in the 'Your Referral Link' section. It looks like: https://vikrayaquila.com?ref=YOUR-CODE. This link is unique to your account.

  2. Click the 'Copy' button next to the link to copy it to your clipboard. You can then paste it anywhere — social media, emails, WhatsApp, blog posts, or any other platform where you promote the product.

  3. Your referral code (e.g., VK-ABC-DEF) is also displayed. Some users prefer sharing just the code, which can be entered during checkout. However, the full link is recommended as it's more seamless for the user.

  4. When someone clicks your link, a cookie is stored on their device for 30 days. Any purchase they make within those 30 days will be attributed to your account, even if they don't buy immediately.

  5. You can also generate a QR code from the Quick Actions section. The QR code contains your referral link and is perfect for printing on business cards, flyers, or displaying at events and shop counters.

Pro Tip

Test your referral link yourself by clicking it and making sure it loads the Vikray Aquila website correctly. A broken link means missed commissions!

Step 4: Share With Your Network
Now that you have your referral link ready, it's time to start promoting. The key to successful affiliate marketing is reaching the right audience — people who genuinely need accounting and POS software for their business.
  1. Start with your existing network: business contacts, WhatsApp groups, LinkedIn connections, and email contacts. These warm leads are the most likely to convert because they already trust you.

  2. Join relevant online communities: trader WhatsApp groups, small business Facebook groups, Chartered Accountant forums on LinkedIn, and startup communities. Participate in discussions and share your link when relevant.

  3. Create content that educates rather than just sells. Write about GST compliance challenges, compare accounting software options, or share tips for small business owners. Include your referral link naturally in the content.

  4. Use the marketing materials from your dashboard. We provide banners, social media templates, and email templates that are professionally designed and proven to convert. Customize them with your personal touch.

  5. Consider creating a YouTube video reviewing Vikray Aquila or showing how to use specific features. Video content is highly effective for software products because viewers can see the product in action before purchasing.

Pro Tip

Timing matters! Promote more aggressively during GST filing deadlines (11th of the following month for GSTR-1, and quarterly for GSTR-3B) when businesses are actively looking for accounting solutions.

Step 5: Track Your Earnings
Regular monitoring of your affiliate dashboard helps you understand what's working and what's not. Use the data to optimize your promotional strategy and maximize your commission earnings over time.
  1. Check your dashboard daily, especially when you're running active promotions. The Recent Activity feed shows new commissions and payouts in real-time, giving you immediate feedback on your promotional efforts.

  2. Monitor your conversion rate in the Performance Metrics section. A healthy conversion rate for software affiliates is typically 2-5%. If yours is significantly lower, consider improving your promotional content or targeting a more relevant audience.

  3. Use the Referrals page to track individual referrals. You can see which ones are pending, converted, or paid. Follow up with pending referrals who showed interest but haven't purchased yet — a gentle nudge can go a long way.

  4. Review the Earnings Chart monthly to identify trends. Are your earnings growing month over month? Which months perform best? Use this data to plan your promotional calendar and allocate your time effectively.

  5. Watch the Milestone Tracker to see how close you are to the next commission tier. If you're close to the threshold, consider running an extra promotional push to unlock the higher rate for the following month.

Pro Tip

Set a monthly earnings target based on your conversion rate and traffic. For example, if you convert 3% of referrals and want to earn ₹15,000 at 15%, you need about 67 referrals per month (which means about 2,200 clicks at a 3% conversion rate).

Congratulations on completing the onboarding journey!
